RFF Lawyers is the first Portuguese law firm specialized in tax and business laws. Its practice is focused on tax and legal law matters from a domestic, European, and international perspectives. The firm’s practice is based in Portugal (Lisbon and Oporto) with a cross jurisdictional approach in Portuguese-speaking countries (such as Angola, Mozambique, Brazil, Cape-Verde, São Tomé and Principe, Timor, and Macao).

ROGERIO M. FERNANDES FERREIRA

Lawyer, Founding partner of RFF Law Firm

Rogério Fernandes Ferreira is a lawyer and specialist in tax law, with more than 30 years of experience, member of both the Portuguese Bar Association and of the Brazilian Bar Association. Rogério is the author of several studies published and is the President of the Portuguese branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) – where he is, since 2021, one of the Supervisory Board members – and of the Latin American Institute of Tax Law (ILADT). Rogério is listed as a Tax arbitrator of CAAD and is the founding and managing partner of RFF Lawyers, as well as a former Secretary of State for Tax Affairs of the XIV Constitutional Government of Portugal.

MARTA MACHADO DE ALMEIDA

Marta Machado de Almeida is a partner in RFF & Associados as of January 2017. Marta Machado de Almeida started her career as Tax Consultant at Deloitte (2003-2006) and did a Traineeship at Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs in London, 2007. Between 2007 and 2009 she was a lawyer at Miranda Correia Amendoeira & Associados and, in 2009, she started as a lawyer and Senior Associate at PLMJ. She took part as Senior Associate at RFF & Associados since it was founded in 2012. Marta is also a Tax correspondent of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation for Mozambique and Angola, since 2011 and is listed as a Tax arbitrator for the Administrative Arbitration Centre (Centro de Arbitragem Administrativa), as of 2014.
